A hairstyle that has never failed me, even on a bad hair day, is the ponytail. Whether it is with bangs, a bow, or to the side, this hair style is guaranteed to be fail-proof.
I usually do a messy braid. I used to do high ponytails when I was younger, and used these really tight rubberbands that ripped my hair out. Not cool. I tend to go for something looser these days.

I usually leave my hair down, but I do think ponytails look great. Its just hard to get my hair smooth enough for a ponytail, and my hair is straight so I have to smooth it down...

I love ponytails. They can be dressed up, down, or accessorized to make one look more chic or unique. Adore the photos you chose.
