I absolutely love doing hair. When my friend/classmate, M, sported a unique side ponytail this past week, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to re-create it. Not only did it remind me of Taylor Swift's hair from the 2011 AMA's, it brought back a bit of nostalgia from my childhood; a time where I had been obsessed with a tool called the Topsy Tail.
TOOLS: 1 hair tie, and hairspray (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Tie hair into a low side ponytail.
2. Loosen the ponytail by gently tugging the hair tie downwards.
3. Split the hair that is above the base of the ponytail into 2 parts to create an opening (see picture).
4. Lift the ponytail with your left hand, and with your right hand, pull it straight down into the opening.
5. Optional: To finish the look, lightly mist your hair with hairspray.

Have to try it right now! ;)
I remember topsy turvys! They used to have this little device you could use to make it easy, wish my hair was long enough to do it! XX

Awww, this is brings back too many memories! My mother always used to do my hair this way :) Love it!
You know... I need some way to do my hair today that's not down and everywhere. I think this will do quite nicely.
I love this simple but beautiful hairstyle. And I totally remember the Topsy Tail. I didn't have one, but I wanted one SO bad. Which is kinda silly when you think about how simple it is to do this style on your own haha.
I have no talent in the hair department, but that twist might be do-able. Have a great weekend!
This looks so easy and fun...but I swear I will try it and it won't come out right. I seriously need a full time hairstylist at home. :)

I love this! It's so easy, and perfect for my long hair. I get so sick of the same old style, so this will be a great way to spice it up! I've got it fixed this way for dinner with my family tonight :)

This hair style brings back memories! I used to do this hair style as a kid too -- but it got itchy so I stopped. Oh, I must try this out again (as soon as my hair goes back out).
Fabulous!
I think my hair is actually long enough for this now! Hooray!!! Have a wonderful weekend!! <3

that is such an adorable hair do.
i love it! <3
Mine always get so loose and slid right out. I finally figured out how to make it stay: dry shampoo (and hairspray never hurts)!
