This past Sunday, I went to watch my BFF, B, compete in his first cherry pie bake-off. There were nine pies total, and a whole lot of talent. The contestants included pastry chefs (B, being one of them!), and people who liked to bake for fun. There were traditional cherry pies, white chocolate and bourbon pies, deep-dish, and chile chocolate pies. B impressed us by taking home 2nd place!
Thanks to High 5 Pie for hosting the event! If any of you are looking for a place to enjoy a nice slice of pie (or two!), this is your spot. With a vintage aesthetic, and incredibly friendly staff, you'll be guaranteed to have a good time.
