Fields Of Gold

I've been experimenting a lot with accessories and different nailposh colors lately. My friend R got me this necklace a few months back for my 21st birthday. There are supposed to be 3 strands of beads on it, but the third strand broke the first time I put the necklace on. :( She has been pushing me to return it, but it's too gorgeous to let go. That's the thing about necklaces from Urban Outfitters. They're pretty, but not the best quality. I still love them though!

As for the nailpolish, I was at the mall 2 weeks ago looking for a good glitter polish. I decided try Sephora because all of the other stores either had pricy brands like OPI and Essie, or were not up to par. I stumbled upon The Only Gold For Me, a gold glitter polish with hexagon shaped glitter. I decided to test it on my thumb nail and from there, it was instant love. I wasn't about to pay $9 for glitter polish, so I decided that I could live without it. To my surprise, two weeks later, it has maintained the same appearance that it had when I first applied it. Sephora, you are convincing me more and more to purchase this polish. I might just have to get it. Do you guys think it's worth it?

Dreamboats

As I put together this post, I am watching Coyote Ugly. I couldn't help but to remember all the times I watched this movie as a kid with my neighbor, and how I thought of Adam Garcia as such a dreamboat. Some other celebrities I had secret crushes on as a tween were Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Erik von Detten, and Taylor Hanson of The Hansons. Those were the days. Who were your celebrity crushes as a kid?

Knock-Offs

While at Urban Outfitters last week, my friend R and I spotted the most adorable sneakers. I have always been a fan of classic Keds. I even owned a pair as a kid. Although the original Keds are not too badly priced, I would much rather spend $15 on a pair of knock-offs. Here is one way I would style them:

Road Trip: Canada

After making our way down to the beautiful state of Oregon, my friends and I decided to head up to Canada. Our first stop was the public market of Granville Island. Here are some pictures of the fresh produce and food we encountered. There is nothing better than a famer's market on a sunny day.

VooDoo Doughnut

As I had mentioned in my previous post, a few friends and I drove down to Oregon earlier this week. One of our stops included a place called VooDoo Doughnut, that was featured on a show called Man vs Food (enthusiastically explained to me by my friend B). I kept on wanting to call it "VooDoo Doughnuts", with an "s" for some reason. B (my tourist-y friend), was beyond excited about this place. We even spent a good half hour driving around downtown Portland on empty stomachs looking for it. Although we managed to snag a parking spot directly in front of the bakery, nothing could suppress the extremely unexpected long line that curved around the block. In the end, it was worth the wait. B got their famous bacon maple bar, his sister chose an M&M covered vanilla cake style donut, and I decided on a custard filled raised one. B and his friend N also both got a dozen assorted ones to take home.
