25 Ways to Wear a Scarf

I was totally going to make a tutorial on how you could wear a scarf, several different ways. That is, until I came across this video. Though it gets a little repetitive towards the end, a lot of the styles are actually pretty cool, and worth trying out!

Sweet Things

For each month we have been dating, my boyfriend has gotten us a cupcake to share. I remember our very first one, 'The Hummingbird': made of banana pineapple coconut cake with cream cheese frosting. It's hard to believe we celebrated our 7 month-a-versary last week, because it seems like just yesterday where I was writing this post, asking you guys for advice.

(Hop into the SWEATshirt DRESSshirt time machine, and read about how I asked him out, here!)

Shades of Fall

shirt: Madewell //tank: CABi //necklace: Nordstrom B.P. //jeggings: American Eagle //boots: Nordstrom //nail polish: OPI 'Conquistadorable Color'

After several months of deliberation, I finally caved in, and bought the blouse of my dreams. I will admit, it doesn't have the prettiest price tag, which is why I was so hesitant to call it "mine" in the first place. But, with much convincing from my BFF, R, a $50 gift card (also courtesy of R), and a 15% off student discount**, I decided that this deal was as good as it was going to get. I can't wait to wear it out!

**That's right. If you shop at Madewell or J. Crew, be sure to flash your student ID card to get 15% off your entire purchase!

Moving On

For those of you who didn't know, Taylor Swift made the announcement earlier this month, that her next album will be out by next December! The general theme is supposedly revolved around the concept of 'moving on'. Call me crazy, but I can already tell that I'm going to love it.

Real life is a funny thing, you know. In real life saying the right thing, at the right moment is beyond crucial. So crucial in fact, that most of us start to hesitate, for fear of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. But lately what I’ve began to fear more than that, is letting the moment pass with saying anything. I think you deserved to look back on your life without this chorus of resounding voices saying, I could of but it’s too late now. So there’s a time for silent, and there a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say. You’ll know it. I don’t think you should wait. I think you should speak now.” -Taylor Swift

Fall Things

After having dinner with my BFF, R, yesterday, I came home to my roommates watching Bridesmaids. They had a fire going, and the entire house smelled like pumpkin spice and popcorn. It felt like the perfect fall night.

Awkward Moments

R, and her dream dress from Anthropologie

Earlier today, I got to hang out with my BFF/old roomie, R, who I haven't seen since the beginning of September. Though I have talked about her before, I probably never told you guys that she's one of those people who are hilariously funny, without even trying.

While partaking in our tradition of sharing a great meal of Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) and shopping near our old stomping grounds, she asked if she could tell me a "gross" work story. At first, I wanted her to wait until we were done eating, but I just couldn't resist.

R: So there's this guy at my work, who's kind of annoying. The other day, he was leaning over the walls of my cubicle, talking to me, and all of a sudden, a drop of spit traveled in a projectile motion from his mouth... to my bottom lip. I sat there nodding, acting as if nothing was wrong. When he left, I immediately took a pump of hand sanitizer, and rubbed it all over my mouth. It stung like crazy, but I was just too grossed out to care.

Oh, R. You are a character.
